E’ un acciaio legato al Manganese il cui uso specifico è l’impiego per la costruzione di anelli saldati per catene medie e pesanti, tipicamente prodotti tramite processo di forgia.

It is a grade alloyed with Mn whose specific use is the production of welded rings of chains, from average to heavy, typically by drop forging.

Bisogna prendere ogni precauzione affinché nessun elemento aggiuntivo derivante dal rottame venga aggiunto alla lega durante la fase di colaggio, esercitando un’influenza negativa sui valori meccanici di temprabilità, sulle caratteristiche meccaniche in genere e sull’usura.

All necessary precautions have to be taken to avoid that any element from scap iron or other materials will be added during the production, which will exert an influence on the hardenability, the mechanical properties and the usability.
